These notes are intended to help you get the most out of this gameset, and to explain and clarify some points necessary for play.

1. The Map
The terrain symbols on the map are quite similar to those of the original game, and should be easily recognizable. The map has been changed in a few places to correct errors in the original game (see the errata text file included in the gameset).

There is no Turn Record Track on the map. Instead, the information found on this track can be found in the Turn names that appear in the lower right corner of the screen during play. The information appears as follows: historical date/VP's for capturing Singapore, Japanese Air Support/Reinforcements (C - Commonwealth, J - Japanese).

I have added an Assault Phase box to the map, near the Singapore inset. There is an Assault Phase marker, flip-defined from '1' to '3', in it's own force pool.

Where roads and railroads run through the same hex, they can be difficult to distinguish; in the hex info box, the notation 'road and rail' appear to clarify this.

2. The Counters
Most of the counters have retained the appearance of the original game pieces, with one exception: the stacking dots do not appear on the counter; instead, stacking values are defined as part of the units' class.

The numbers which appear in the unit information box are in the following order: under Piece Values, the set-up hex or Game Turn of Entry; under Class values, Attack - Defense - Movement - (Number of Stacking Points).

3. The .OPS File
There is one .OPS file in this set, with Commonwealth units in their set-up hexes, and the Turn 1 Japanese forces in a sea hex near the north edge of the map. There are force pools for reinforcements, air support, optional units, fortifications, eliminated units, and the Assault Phase marker.

That's about it. If you encounter any errors or omissions, or if you have any questions regarding this gameset, please feel free to e-mail me, and I will respond promptly. If you find any errors/omissions, I'd appreciate it if you would contact me, even if it's something you can easily fix yourself, so I can correct the set.

I hope you enjoy playing the game!
